A letter of awareness is a formal, financial based letter that is usually written to an individual or to a business that is currently lending money to the entity being discussed. For example, if someone acquired a new business, they may write a letter of awareness to the lenders stating that they know the company is in debt to them and they have every intention of recognizing and paying off that debt. These letters have no legal standing, and are used more to comfort lending institutions.

1383 Jail Drive Bloomington, IL 61701
Dear Mr. Lilly,
This letter is to confirm the fact that the newly acquired company, Grand Holdings, is in debt to you for the sum of $50,000.
Even though we are under new management and are going through a restructuring process, we want you to know that we have full intentions of continuing debt service on this sum, as per the same terms the departing management had with you.
If you would like to discuss this account, or have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact us at 453-323-3242. We are available Monday to Friday, 8am-9pm.
Sincerely,
Hector Martinez
